#ith reference to your letter No. 72796/30 of the
4th Jane on the subject of the exchange and currency
situation in Tongkong, 1 um directed by Ir. Gearetary
I
Henderson to transmit for perusal and return a copy of
the Kemmerer report which has been received from His
Majesty's Minister in seking.
This report contains a very
full sooount of the eurrenay situation in Chine but as
only one copy is at present available Cir 1les Lampson
is being instructed by telegraph to send additional
copies sa soon La possible.
A copy of the Kemmerer
port has already been sent direct by His Majesty's
Consul-Jeneral at Shanghai to the Governor of Hongkong •
2. Mr. Henderson is not calling for a report from
ie Majesty's Minister as he feels he could add nothing
of value to the secount given by the Kersnorer mission.
